THE COMSTOCK FOUNDATION PROJECTS

Working hard to protect Comstock history and culture

The Foundation supports projects that preserve and restore historic and cultural resources on the Comstock and promote the history of the Comstock. Since formation of the nonprofit organization in 2013, the Foundation invested in restoration and renovation projects with the Upper Yellow Jacket Hoist, St. Mary’s Art Center, Gold Hill Depot, and the Fourth Ward School. The Foundation also acquired the Donovan Mill to save it from being sold, dismantled, and leveled. Now, the Foundation is seeking support to save the mill and restore the site to be an interpretive center.
